Hi there just bought out my brand new Toyota Altezza.As the topic says.The man who sold me the car is saying that the car comes out with a V4 engine that gives out maximum 220Bhp.Now what are you guys saying to me there that is still matters to me.Because I don't know much about my car.And as well I'm not a mechanic to open up the engine of my car so I could find the V4.And so on.

By the way the Toyota Altezza is similar to LEXUS IS200.

Are you sure it is a brand new Altezza. These have been out of production for almost a year now as far as I know. Unless they kept up production in Japan after the launch of Lexus there.

Hi, only the Toyota Altezza RS200 pushes out 210bhp, and this is only when you use 100 ron fuel. Power is a lot less running it on anything lower(unleaded 95,98 etc) If you look at the engine and it has a Beams logo in red and black then its pushing out 210bhp. If not, he is lying!

and its not a v4, its an inline 4 and 210 hp

or 200hp if its tiptronic/auto

Well my Altezza has Beams Logo up in there when you open the engine hoop and after it says Dual V-VTi that should probably be the engine has under it of course.And unfortunatly the guy who told me this stuff over here he is my mechanic also.I just wanted to make sure that is that my car really what he said and promised me to sell me that's all.And about my car well it is indeed Tiptronik/Auto.

There you have it, like Mat said it is an inline 4 with dual VVTi and produces 200 bhp as standard.

With induction and exhaust mods you should be able to squeeze another 20 bhp out of it

If you mecchanic thinks it is a V4 I would take it elsewhere for servicing

Well yes I have to agree with you that is 4 inline engine not V4.

And by the way I need some explanation here From ScarFace of course did your car came with build-in monitor with or not because I'm going to give a little try here so I could revaised my IS200 to Car PC build on it.Thank a lot Demas
