Is it sticking at the footwell or the engine bay?

I remember reading that the original lexus mats with one hook used to get stuck under the pedal, so they brought out newer mats that have two retaining hooks instead.... just a thought

yeh its definatly the pedal getting stuck under the mat, happend a couple of times to me before, i now jus push the matt forward so it goes behind the pedals if that makes sense

but then the pedal wont go down as far and u wont get full accelleration.

ditch the drivers mat!! ul go quicker!! :D

  • 4 weeks later...

I had the same prob and it had nothing to do with the mats!

I would be booting the lex on a motorway and the accelerator would keep accelorating when I let go, like it was stuck or something!

Took it to lexus and the throttle body needed cleaning and it has never happened since been a year now so it must have been that!

Or the mats on the cars above LOL!
