Had a problem with my key fobs not working on my IS 200. Checked that the car wiped out all knowledge of them. One of the fellow members had a sequence to follow to re-programme them. It goes like this:
1 Drivers door open
2 insert Key in to ignition -remove
3 using the central locking switch on the drivers door LOCK to UNLOCK 5 times ie forward/back counts as one
4 close/open door
5 lock to unlock another 5 times
6 insert key in to ignition
7 off to on to off .. once to add a key .. twice to rewirte.. remove key
8 after this the door locks will respond
9 while this is happening hold down the lock button on the key and press the unlock button on the key 5 times .. release and press unlock once
if you have been successful the door lock will lock unlock once
it can be tricky to do its all in the timing of doing all the stages

I did this with my first key and at stage 7 i done it twice (to rewrite) and it worked perfectly.

To re-programme my second key, I used my first key throughout the sequence but with two differences. The first one was stage 7 again where Done the off-on-off just once (To add a key). The second difference was at stage 9. When I pulled the programmed key out from stage 7, I held down the lock button on the other key and then pressed the unlock on that same key the five times as it requested. This worked first time and it saved me taking my car to the lexus garage to be charged a fortune. If anybody has any problems with this let me know. I'm not an expert, by any means, but have just learned how to do this and won't ever forget. :D

Just wondering if anybody has had success with this? As i said previously I tried all the other methods to programme the key in but this was the only one that worked. The secret was in the last bit (The hold the lock button down while pressing the unlock five times)

Just successfully programed my new key using this method - the other methods that I found didnt work - very similar but part 9 is different.
On my first attempt I ended up with my new key working and my old master not - but simply went through the process again using the new key as the master - and now both keys fully functional.

Immobiliser also sorted too using the brake & accelerator method...

I've tried all of the various versions of this method dozens of times and none work for me.

Has anyone else ever found that these methods don't work?

Cheers
