I'm importing a windom/ES 300 ('98 model) to Brisbane and want to know who to insure the car with. I've used Shannons in the past but I'm wondering if there's a better offer.
The car has navi (GPS), can it be used in Oz?
Also I wish to replace the timber panel surrounding the shifter. Where can I get parts for a es300 in Oz?
Finally I'm wondering if I should leave the emblems as a Toyota Windom or change them to the Lexus emblems (have bought them already). I noticed there seems interest in having something unique.
I've had the windom for the compulsary year (for personal imports to Oz). The only problem I had was the Traction Control button sometimes coming on while driving (about 5 times in total). Once I turn off the ignition it goes out and doesn't appear again. It seems to appear only when the car is cold and hasn't been used for a few weeks. I noticed another uk owner (i think) had the same problem. Any cures for it? Seems more of an annoyance than a problem.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
