100k service due shortly, and lexus stockport priced it up for me when I had my 90k service done. Overall £650 including £350 for the cam belts. Now I know that you can get these done for under £100, could I get this done outside lexus and still get my 100k stamp?
would this be cheeky to ask lexus or could I make up some reason for having to get them changed before the service anyway?
Scorpion
Get the cam belts changed before you take it for its service, point out that you dont want em done
and get the service book stamped.

Which reminds me... I've kinda been a naughty boy and have left my 90k service a tad too long. It's now 94k. :whistling:

didn't get mine done till 97k, don't worry about it.
It only cost me £150 (for the service, £470 for a new clutch)

Give Chris Shipley a PM. He can give you the codes or supply you with the parts including gold discount.

Just got my new ball joints fitted last night and was talking to my mechanic and he said its worth finding out if toyota do a cam belt kit, ie new pulleys etc or do these come with the belt anyway?
Scorpion
Not usually, you only get the belts(i think)....
ColinBarber
Normally there is nothing else to change. You need to check the condition of the pulleys/tensioner but they should be fine.
