Just got a call from Tire Rack yesterday. They shipped the P245/40WR-18 Pirelli PZero Nero M&S yesterday for my SC430. They finally were made in our size! I've been waiting since summer........

I'll have them on Monday Jan 5 and installed later in the week. I'll let everyone know how they are. They were $771.00 for the set of four. Not bad compared to Michelin Pilot Sport AS.

Hmm strange this. I had these fitted to my car last spring (2003) so I think your supplier has been misleading you about availability.

However, you've made a good choice, they will change your car hugely. biggrin.gif

That's great to hear - thanks, and glad you like them! No one in the US had them. Sounds like they were only available in England/Europe...........

For other performance sizes, they had the best ratings of the all season tires rated at tire rack....

Have either of you been able to compare with the Dunlop 2030's now fitted as std by Lexus ?

Are the Dunlop 2030's runflats?
jdmparts_guru
Does the Pirellis give any handling improvement?

Nope, just standard repairable tubeless.

The Dunlops are good, quiet and grippy when dry, but quite nervous when wet crying.gif

Had to put them aside recently when I upgraded my wheels to 20". Now wearing Falken Azenis ST115 245/35ZR20. Still quiet (as sports tires go), grippy when dry and wet (huge twin drains!) biggrin.gif

My car's in the member's garage now if you guys wanna see. Am not a tire expert though online2long.gif

How come they're "W" speed rated ? What, consequently, is the top speed of your SC430?

I would like to replace the run flat tires on my 2002 SC 430 Lexus. Can anyone give me first hand experience on which tires are the best replacements? I am looking for a smooth confortable ride. High speeds and tight cornering are not essential. Thank you for your input. biggrin.gif

I only searched for these quickly, so there may be some more info available elsewhere, but hopefully it will start you off on the right foot !

Good luck,
Tony
