New years greetings to all.

Between Xmas and New Year I appear to have lost the 'sub' key to my 1995 GS300.
I would like to replace the key so I have a spare, is this possible?
However, what is more concerning at present is what the implication would be if the key has been stolen.
I would like to know if it is possible to recode my master key. My master key is the one which has the remote button on the actual key.
Any help and advice here would be appreciated.

Not sure how the programming works on the series I. Your dealer should be able to get you a key. It's not as intergrated as with newer models.

On the series II and most other models the key is not programmed. The car is programmed to work with the key. Lost/Stolen keys can be removed from the central locking/alarm config so it won't work, but I dont think you can remove it from the immobiliser config so it would still start the car if the car was unlocked.

Thanks for the reply Colin.
Fortunately keys have turned up, my wife had put them in a safe place but forgot to tell me where!
I did enquire at my local dealer and was advised that the options were to 'bar' the lost key which has its limitations or get whole security system replaced for mega bucks.
Glad I found the keys!
