Picture it - three lanes and traffic lights at red. Lined up - an IS200 (no mods), a BMW 540i and an Astramax Van. The lights change - the IS200 is a little behind in pulling away but takes it to the red line in first. By that time the BMW 540i is disappearing into the distance...neck and neck with the Astramax Van!! :?::?::?:
OK so he did hav a phat sounding exhaust so perhaps other mods too...

I used to have an astramax van... quite nippy too!
Perhaps the Astra van has a longer range in first gear!

They were level when they reached the next lights which were also red. Once the lights changed they headed off in different directions on a busy roundabout. I just pootled along behind thinking of lexus reliability, cost of ownership and how I'd not chosen an IS for performance....
