I bought one of these yesterday - what a neat gizmo!!
It's like a big silicone wiper blade that you use to spodge all the water off your car when you clean it - works really well!:bounce:

I got one of those a couple of weeks ago Rod, and its great to get the water off - but you have to still chamois the car down to get a good finish don't you find...? :tumble:

It got pretty much all the water off mine - didn't need much going over with a leather at all - but then I'm not as much of a perfectionist as you Zee!!

I've also heard that your car likes 2 sugars in its cocoa and can't get to sleep without you reading it a story!

I've got one of these too, I find it really good for windows. It is good on body work too, but I am scared it will scratch the paint if there is any dirt left on.

I only use mine when the car has just been washed, no sign of any scratches yet and I've used it every weekend for a year!

Your car is not black though! Every time I wash it I have to polish more scratches out.

I have also been using one of these for a while now. I got mine from the firm who clean my bosses car each week ( how the other half live!!)
He offered one word of caution. Never use it after washing the car if it is a very hot day or the car is in strong sunlight as he says the car dries too quickly and then their is a risk of scratching as their is not enough water to remove. Also he told me to wash it after every use to ensure no dirt gets caught on the blade. Probably common sense stuff, but I thought I should pass it on.
