Can anyone help. My GS300 MK 2 sports has a niggling habit. Now the warmer weather is here, every time i get in the car the climate control goes to recirc instead of fresh which was where i left it when i switched off. I have auto selected on the fan and air conditioner off. It only happens when the OAT is above 19 degrees.

The fastest way to cool the interior down is to recirculate the air which is why it does it.

That's correct.

The quickest way to cool is to have it on re-circ, basically because it can then cool the already cooled air rather than bringing in warm air from outside all the time to cool.

This is a CBEST setting (AIR INLET MODE) and can be changed by your dealer - ask them to change the setting to MANUAL, which leaves the inlet the way you left it, rather than change it to recirc.
