Ive just taken delivery of a nice shiney set of brake calipers, many many thanks to Fargo.
In the olden days when I believed in Ford and all it stood for, I used to mod lots of stuff, including cozzy brake conversions on Capris and Ezzies. As a matter of course, I used to completely strip the calipers and get a service kit for them which included things like rubber seals, piston(s) etc.
The question is, is there such a thing as a service kit for the IS200 brake calipers? Do I really need to service them before I put them on (just to be on the safe side) or am I being a little too extreme with my attention to detail. The old ford caliper seals used to dry out and crack if they were stood too long. Could this be the same with the lex or have the japs thought of that one aswell?
Thanks guys
Oh, bye the way, is there a supplier for pre-made braided brake hose that anyone knows, or do I have to make my own?
