I had 4 x Dunlop SP9000 (Lexus spec.) tyres fitted on Friday.

Lexus Birmingham did the job at the same time as they were changing the wheels under warranty, so in theory I shouldn’t have to pay for fitting, valves or balancing. Before work started they gave me a price of £105.00 plus vat per wheel = £123.37 including VAT. Taking into account my gold discount not a bad deal I thought.

However when I came to pay they would not honour the gold discount card. They claimed the price they had quoted was the absolute lowest price possible and therefore no further discount could be allowed against the gold card. They said I should have mentioned about the gold card when I negotiated the price.
