I find it on e-bay. There are several HID conversion kit. I take this one for example. Prices are around 250-350 euro.

What do you think about this sort of kit?
Is it efficient?
What power should I choose : 4300K, 5000K, 6000K, 8000K, 10000K,...?

I have classical halogen (no xenon) headlights. Do you think, this sort of kit can do problems (reliability, temperature,...).


NB : If I buy a conversion kit, I will install a high pressure wash for headlights. With that, it will be legal (Belgium laws).

but try to stay away from the higher rated bulbs as it just changes the colour and actually produces less light on the road (thanks Zee ).
so the 5000 and 6000 ones are the ones to go for

going for HID/Xenon is indeed a very good idea, since it will give you much better vision, and it will look cool.

However, there any many kits available outside, and not many of these are good. A lot is crap, meaning a lot of failure rate. A lot of parts are made in Taiwan or China and then repackaged in Japan. (see: Japanese parts)

For example, one of my friends installed McCulloch (happens also to advertise by putting their ballast into water) and needed to replace his bulbs and ballasts 4 times.

Go for the brands that use wellknown ballasts, like Hella, Philips, panasonic, or Osram.

Anything above 5000k colour temp will produce blue light. Stock HIDs fitted to Lexus, BMW etc are 4300k
