Ok, you know that 'optical' glass you get with the anti-glare coating on it, that looks a sort of matt dark blue colour? (The sort you get on spectales, binocular lenses, sat nav screens, etc). What's the best way to clean it and can an anti-glare coating be re-applied if it seems to have worn off in places? Cheers in advance :)

Matey, just been to see my optician as it happens and we had a chat about this!

My specs have an anti-glare coating on the lens and they recommend cleaning them with lukewarm water and special spec cleaner (that they happen to sell!) and a soft cloth. They stressed NOT to use soap or detergent 'cos it causes the coating to break down. I dunno about reapplying the coating, but I've just had to order some new lenses (probably because I used to use detergent to clean 'em - doh!).
