Just got back from JAE, a bit of a long day, started at 5am, driving there, arrived just after 7am, when there were surprisly quite a few people up and about.

The show was bigger than last year, although the TOC/LOC stands were spread out much more..

The weather stayed nice... and i am nursing a bit of sunburn.. but the wind kept it cool.

But, it was a fun day, and great to see the old faces and meet some new ones..

Thanks to everyone whos efforts made it happen.

I will post pictures up as soon as they have uploaded...

Lovely car... At the NEC motor show it blew me away! If there was one car I would have signed up for it would have been the Zed!

I want one tomato.gif I really want one tomato.gif tomato.gif I really really want one tomato.gif tomato.gif tomato.gif

Used prices are well OTT right now though cry.gif and being a bit of a badge person whistling.gif will stick with the Lex (for now)
Fidgits

It's doing good mate - 1000 miles in a week! (Well, we did go down to Alton Towers last week). Only 200 to go, before I can stop being gentle with her!

Going out for a drive this afternoon and will take the camera with me - will finally get some pictures up on 350zuk.com (and here, if anyone is interested msn-wink.gif ).

I just wish JAE wasn't quite so far away for me - I'd love to get to that event.
Fidgits
well, there were a few guys from Edinburgh and beyond on the TOC stand mate.. im sure you could've made it.. ph34r.gif

I see pics of Mat's race car Ian, but not of "The Monster" - was there a problem with it?

or did you just not put any photos up / I am blind and just missed them?
Colin P
it was there, looking pretty good!

Think there are still one or two problems to be resolved though.

Got some nice TDi stickers on it!

ahh..

well, it didnt arrive until about 4 Matt...

at which time i somehow 'ended up' on BBQ duty... and after that i didnt have the energy to dig the camera out..

But it arrived under its own steam.. and looked (and sounded) pretty damn good!

What a great W/E, loads of fantastic motors of every kind. Started the W/E - Friday Evening with a few beers and a wander round the pitch. The weather on Satyrday was brillant and coupled with show, made out to be a great day, now nursing a bit of a tan - major tan on the neck and the head - lack of hair blush.gif Saturday night was great to, loads of beer and joking around, even got one of the chaps from the MR2 Club to try some of Matts "Instanely Hot Sauce", mine you we did need to bribe him though. The rules - Hold in your mouth for 5 mins with no drinking etc.... - DAM, he did it, mind you his eyes were telling a different story by the end though - poor Sod laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Great to meet a lot of new faces and finaly put the names to the face and also some of the regs aswell.

Have Uploaded a few piccs starting here

There were a few people from Luxemburg there!!! Came over specially! ohmy.gif

Great weekend....apart from the obligatory rain! But I'm just a tad burnt from Saturday aswell blush.gif
It seemed less packed aswell, compared to last year, but probably just because it was more spread out, so thats a good thing.
Looking forward to next year, and wearing sunblock! It should be better now that certain clubs that were annoying as hell have been banned biggrin.gif
DUNCAN
Well I for one had a great weekend, starting from early Friday afternoon right through to Sunday.
A big thank's to all the organisers and to Fidgits for the charcoal butties ! tongue.gif
Also to the judges (the cheques in the post lads) cool.gif
A big thanks to Besty and Paul for bringing everything but the kitchen sink, and treating me to food, drink and hilarious entertainment all weekend.
It was great to see everyone again after what seemed like such a long year since the last JAE. I hope to see you all again at next years event if not sooner.
Cheers guys,

Great Weekend Chaps, really enjoyed myself. Thanks to the organisers, thanks to Besty for the tea, and thanks to Duncan for the Bacon Butties.

I feel sorry for the poor lad who had no choice but to "Run the Gauntlet" with the Sauce. That stuff aint no sauce, its a chuffin weapon ! I tried it and I thought my mouth had melted yucky.gif sick.gif The funny thing is, Aido held the same stuff in his gob, without being paid for it hehe.gif

Dont forget Besty: jagermeister for hangover, Apfelkorn for Heartburn, and Tree-Bark for any other ailment msn-wink.gif (soft lad)

Ace weekend, thanks to everyone, it was my first time and thoroughly enjoyed it.

please advise how to upload the vodeo of the poor poor nugget doing the sauce !

Just got back in, this was a great weekend, good to meet everyone but I was a little bit bladdered last night and can't really remember that much (Norkep I wasn't trying to ***** on your car at 4am honest!)

Thought I was going to pass out today I felt that hungover, but I've made it home and I'm off to bed shortly! Saturday night was awesome, I tried to make it around everyone but I got totally ****faced and ended up supping all sorts of crap with SteveAudio& co, Rob, Mat, Zee, Ifraz, Nick, Barrie & Jane, in the end the hardcore remaining were Mat, Bazza, Jane and myself, and most of you saw our handiwork this morning - but just wait til you see the pics!

Met that many people I can't remember you all but it was quality to finally put names to faces with Rob Fluff, Besty, Colin, CP409135, , TonyGoose, Turner and LOC's finest gentleman with a great eye for the ladies, Gordon msn-wink.gif There were loads more of you I met but can't remember the names of - Mat's insanity sauce did the trick for me. Think I did it total 4 times, and I cried like a bitch every time tongue.gif

Zee where's the video mate, need to see that reaction again - "How did it feel like........"

The good news is I didn't ***** myself ohmy.gif It smells like beer, honest tongue.gif

Got some good pics to come (only took a few pics, nothing at all dodgy neither - looks like the visits to the specialist are working tongue.gif )

Chris, thanks for cleaning my car mate, did you finally make it back to Brum?

One of the best lines of JAE had to come from Rob - hope it was a good trip home mate, it's been a blast!

**** this is getting like an Oscar's list now so thanks to Rob & SteveAudioX as well as everybody else that helped fit my B2 and Induction - I got called a ****** by some bloke walking down the street when he heard the car coming so it must be working a treat laugh.gif

And Zee, calm down on those measures mate, look what it made us all do to the car msn-wink.gif Don't even know if I dare post those pics of Mat - "you bell-end" laugh.gif
SteveAudioX

Rob Fluff for the lubricants- not the type your all thinking of.
Dave E for the Prolex UK stickers.
Colin Barber for your help with Scorpion.

It was a great pleasure placing names to faces too ..
Besty, nice to meet you finally, nice clean motor mate.

Fantastic weekend cool.gif

It was superb to meet so many new members, finally putting faces to names and also great to see the usual crowd as well.

Apart from a little commosion mad.gif during the night (this is what I looked it in the morning blink.gif ) it was another very successful meet.

Well done to the LOC organisers, especially Steve for bringing the gazebo and lights etc.

Well done to all the award winners....

The Monster is awesome driving.gif

Anymore piccies?

Not a problem Aido anytime, to be honest I was feeling a bit left out all weekend with no car.

Anyway found a quick way off the site instead of queing and was on the main road within 10 mins.
Dropped Sophie and Becky off at home in Birmingham and got home about 8.30pm

Thanks to everyone this weekend even though I felt a tad bit left out

That's just wrong - no wonder I'm single - I'm off to the tanning salon tomorrow to get a wax like Mat's! Don't normally see it from that angle - good job the chilli sauce hadn't kicked in otherwise there'd be tramlines everywhere sick.gif

can someone please post the results of the judging as i missed it?

Hi people.

I'd just like to say that I had a great day and would have been even better if I had remembered to pack a tent and some more clothes! (remembered when I was the other side of bristol so was about an hour and a bit into my journey and the southbound M5 was very busy so couldnt go back)

It was weird but good to finally meet everyone starting at the Ace Cafe with Raz and his cousin (seemed to be a white van meet and a classic merc meet going on) then everyone else turning up after a few "i'm 20 mins away!" I think in the end there was Raz, Mr Lex (and all his mates), Marcus, Shahz, Steve Audio X. It was an entertaing convoy on the way up especially when me and Mr Lex had red at the lights and so had to catch everyone up! Traffic was a tad busy on the M1 but we got there in the end after a tescos mini meet and Raz Rankin mowing down a helpless pigeon.

Thanks to eveyone who organised everying and Fidgets (and the other guy) for cooking the one burger one sausage barbcue!

Met loads of people GRiM (how come you dont post anymore?), Matt, Dave E, Zee, Ifraz, Bazza, Scorpion, Aido - what a character! Oh and Gus at 5am in the morning as we left! Aido and Matt do you remember talking to us? All those poses were pretty funny to watch, seem to remember a few more which havent made it up yet also pretty funny when Aido was walking along farting and laughing at the same time!

cheers for the great time guys.
sorry if I missed anyone.
