Having had a loan car over the last few days, I got mine back and it's more noticeable that the gearbox behaves differently - not because anything has changed but because I've had another IS200. Reading a few threads I see people have mentioned problems with their gearboxes. Basically, mine gives a good old 'clunk' when going from 1st to 2nd - is this normal ? perhaps a feature of the gearbox I got because mine is a 2000 model?
hi jenners i have sent u a u2u about it.

I bought my Sport brand new this May, and its 2nd gear 'clonked' as soon as i drove it off the forecourt.
They said they would replace the whole gearbox, but i would rather put up with it than put up with there mechanics playing about with fixing it !!!

I get that cluck with my SE aswell. If I hold the clutch right down and delay the change it doesn't happen though...Are we to assume this is just normality?
