I am reposting this thread again as I have to get the final list to Toyota before the 16th of August.


The ultimate meeting is our Toyota factory tour around the Burnaston Plant on the 9th of September 2004

Now we do have limited spaces this year and we can only accept 10 members per club LOC & TOC (20 in total)

Like last year we managed to slot a few more last minute due to spaces at the conferance rooms but i cannot guarentee i can get any more spaces.

I do not have a date yet but should be march or april time and will most certainly be in the mid week.

The schedule would be

9.30am (prompt) at the plant car park and we enter the plant for the tour
12.pm we all congregate members cars for photos

1pm we pile down to the local pub for a meal and a chat.

If you are flexible with dates and are able to take a day off work and would like to go then please add your name here on a preliminary basis.

cost will be £2 in the Toyota charity box at the plant.

Please note... we are unable to accept members partners (wives, kids etc) at present due to the small limit of members allowed to attend. If more places become available then we shall announce this.

Please only stick your name down if you can make it. Also if you have been on a this tour with the club before then please let other members who have never attended this meet attend.

it used to be 10 barrie.. so we asked member to be in the car park 30 mins before.. but they have shifted it to 9.30

Also there is a pub down the road... other side of the roundabout... good grub! mini meet is in order.

I myself will not be coming as I want to give my space to someone else plus i have been twice before... Derby is a hell of a trip for me.

if I have any spaces left then I will bung them on here as the TOC guys are slow at taking up the offer of such a fine meet.

From the M1
* Leave the M1 at junction 24 (signposted nottingham South)
* Approach the roundabout using the left hand lane
* At the roundabout, take the second exit to join the A50/A6 (stoke on trent/Derby)
* Follow the A50 to the junction with the A38 (junction 4) and take the fourth exit off the roundabout, which is the entrance to Toyota (UK)

From the M1 Southbound
* Leave the M1 at Junction 24 signposted stoke on trent , A50 and join the A50 for Stoke (fourth Exit on roundabout) to join A50 (derby Stoke)

From M6
* leave the M6 at junction 15 to join the A50 through stoke.
* Continue to the junction with the A38. (see 'From M1 Northbound')

From M42 (N)
* Leave the M42 at junction 9 to join the A446 for Lichfield
* Join the A38 nothbound to Burton-upon-trent and continue to the junction with the A50, (see 'From M1 Northbound')


Traveling by car from

London (allow 2 hours)
Manchester (Allow 2 Hours)
Derby (Allow 3/4 Hour)
Birmingham (allow 1 hour)

Please ensure you are earlier than 9.00 as entrance will not be permitted after 9.30.. thus a wasted journey.
