YESTERDAY I WAS SENT AN INVITE BY LEXUS COVENTRY TO COME AND DRIVE SOME OF THEIR CARS ON SATURDAY.
HAVING BOUGHT A GS300SE FOUR MONTHS AGO I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE MISSING TOW BALL AND CORRECT COLOUR CARPETS TO ARRIVE:flaming:
MY ONLY CONTACT WITH LEXUS DURING THESE FOUR MONTHS IS FIVE PHONE CALLS TRYING TO GET THE MISSING PARTS FOR MY CAR. EACH TIME I AM TOLD THEY ARE ON THE WAY AND THEY WILL CALL......
WHILE THE SERVICE WHEN BUYING THE CAR WAS GREAT I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE AFTER SALES SERVICE. WHY WOULD THEY TRY AND STITCH ME UP OVER SOMETHING SO SILLY AS A TOW BALL AND A SET OF MATS ????:?:
COME ON LEXUS COVENTRY.......
OH, BY THE WAY..... I DON'T THINK I'LL BE COMING THIS WEEKEND.....

welcome to the club BTW - sounds like u have been having some probs - its best in situations like this to visit the dealer in person to discuss the issue otherwise you are just another voice at the end of the phone - I doubt they would go to the bother of trying to screw you over a set of mats and a ball hitch - maybe just an oversight on thier part?

HI JIMMY,
I GUESS YOU'VE HEARD THIS B4 THEN,
ANY IDEA WHAT I'VE GOT TO DO ?
I DON'T WANT TO GO DOWN THERE RANTING AND RAVING AS BEING A LEXUS OWNER IS SUPPOSED TO CALM ME DOWN AND NOT **** ME OFF

I have heard something very similar.
As fluff suggests, I would ask to talk to the manager and explain your concerns. Get a Teamlexus sticker in the window aswell.

Was this not an invite to what Lexus call an Open Road event. Basically to drive all their cars in one day.:?:

SORRY ABOUT THAT, IT WAS WHILE I WAS HOOVERING MY WRONG COLOURED MATS THAT THE POSTMAN DELIVERED THE LETTER, WHEN I OPENED IT AND SAW WHO IT WAS FROM I READ THE FIRST LINE AND BINNED IT........
DO YOU THINK I COULD GET TO DRIVE A GS300SE WITH TAN MATS SO I CAN PINCH THEM?:eyes:

Hi Fatfingers.
Mine's also a GS300SE sourced at Lexus Woking (now Guildford).
Had no problem with dealer after-sales but took the precaution of presenting the Service Manager with a bottle of decent scotch on delivery.
I know this shouldn't be necessary but it is recommended. Take a look in the owner's manual under 'Oiling the Distributor'

I guess I haven't read my manual properly, as I have missed this.:?:
By the way I got a letter yesterday from Lexus Edgware where I recently serviced my IS200SE inviting me to Buy an IS200S for £199 a month?
They must think the SE is too good for me.

I also got that letter about the IS200 S for £199/month - surely they'd get a better uptake on people who don't already have one :?:
