Hi,

I am very new to modifying and this is gonna by my first major mod.

I have seen a few cheap TRD grilles on eBay. I want to get one of these since they look much better then the standard grille and seem excellent value for money.

But I need abit of help. (Sorry to sound thick! )

1. Where do I get the paint from to paint it? Do Lexus sell it? I would need Kensington Green.

2. Could I attach a Gold Plated Lexus badge to the grille so it would look similar to this grill:

How would I secure it? Obviously has to look professional.

3. Would I be able to fit the grill myself? I am reasonably ok at DIY. Would I need any special tools?

paint : lexus sell it or take the code to halfords and they will make it up for you

fixing: gold ones are usually stuck on

What I want to do, is get a Lexus badge, get it gold-plated and then stick it on to the grille.

Thing is, is it possible to stick the badge onto this grille securely or would I have to buy the much more expensive lexus sports grill like in the picture?

i dont think it will be any less secure than the lexus one

er... I maybe being abit thick.

But how would I actually attach the badge to the grill?

Do I use some kind of glue or something else (yes its true....I am that clueless!:duh:)

original badge has a pin and washer type fixing ,goes through the mesh and onto a backplate
generally the aftermarket ones will come with a double sided adhesive backing
