I've just bought a 2nd hand 200 SE (2000 w)and the alloys are a bit corroded, the dealer I bought the car from (Toyota) suggested I go to Lexus to get them changed. Any tips on what the best way to approach this is. The car is still under warranty.
Great site !!

Have a search through the site, there are quite a few posts where people have had them replaced under warranty.
Try this post, I attached a picture of my old wheels so you can see how bad they were.

From experience the dealer won't question it, as they are so used to the problem and would have changed many sets for customers.

Hi Haggis, welcome. I had mine changed under warranty recently, however they put new alloys on instead of re-furbished ones, but only four wheels. The only problem i have is getting the wheel centres to match. They keep bringing the wrong ones, however there is a spiv in Stoke who wants to sell me a set, honestly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wow:

Welcome to the club Haggis. I got all 5 of mine changed under warranty - they are refurbished apparently but you wouldn't be able to tell. I prefer them because they are much better to clean

Hi Haggis,
If they won't replace them under warranty (I don't think you will have a problem, though), then see the Chris Shipley on LOC because he's news of an offer on new alloys direct from Lexus. Try your dealer first, though?

If you don't get any joy I can offer people brand new 17" alloys with new 215/45 ZR17 Bridgestone RE040 tyres for £270 each inc VAT
