the battery is compltely dead on my is200. I have tried charging it but this was no use, so going to buy a new one. Does anyone know if there are any likely probs with changing it myself???
The last thing I want is an expensive trip to my local dealer after doing what is a relatively straight forward job.

If your battery is dead - nothing works on the car i.e. lights etc...., I'd say change it. You normally have to charge the battery with the battery disconnected from the car anyway due to possible damage to the circuits by the battery charger, have had this problem before on my Beamer that I DID have.
