Can anyone help me identify the connector blocks in the ECU of an IS300 (2003)

i believe they are labeled E3 E4 etc (or the like),

i have found this spreadsheet for the US IS300, im assuminmg that the E3 to E7 runs from the front of the car to the rear, but would like this confirmed...
ColinBarber
looking at the connectors with the catches at the top they go from left to right.

I thought the connectors are E2 - E7

may well be colin,, dont forget that the spreadsheet shown is for the US IS..

US and UK ECUs appear the same, just the software that is different. My documentation is for US models and shows E2 to E7

i see colin,, do you have any docs that are presented similar to that spreadsheet, what im after is confrimation of 2 pins,, SLT + & SLT - (autos)
ColinBarber
my docs don't at all match with that spreadsheet however they are for the GS rather than IS (which shouldn't make any difference)

SLT+ E4 9
SLT- E4 15

have you thought about subscribing to http://www.alldatadiy.com ? That will give you the wiring diagrams.

mine is a 2003,,

yes them pdf's are what i have got from the website colin pointed me to,, however they are all for the US LHD, so im not sure if they are corrct for the UK RHD
ColinBarber
I've always found the wiring diagrams are correct for US and UK cars including the wiring colours.
Fargo
hmm why is it that when testing the voltage on on of the pins i am looking for i get something other than what the diagrams say..
tis strange

Perhaps it's your testing equipment...

Seek professional advice and testing... Strangly.. I am still working on me car outside unsure.gif

Are you sure you have the correct plug on the ECU? I guess you will have to find the correct wires on the gearbox and check wire colours and continuity back to the ECU.
ColinBarber
Looking at these diagrams it appears the wiring on the ECU was changed between 2001 and 2002 which why my diagrams conflicted. However looking at IS300 2001 and GS300 2001 the connectors are labelled the other way around - gs E2-E7 and the is E7-E2 - all the pins are the same just the connector blocks labled left to right and right to left.

This may be the same on the 2002+ IS. It may be worth tracing an easy wire to see what connector it appears on so you can work out the order of the connectors. Pick something you can easily reach like the MAF sensor or TPS etc. and find the other end on the ECU.

ok doky ill give that a bash

in my book for the is300 (2003 ) i have SLT is pin 15 and SLT+ is pin 9.
SLT+ is Black/ Yellow
SLT is Red/Black
Fargo
so there would appear a diff in the UK and US..

Dunc can you confirm what connector block the pins are on.
