I've just noticed a clicking noise from my clutch pedal - after depressing it about an inch there's a single distinct click. Anyone know what it might be before I take it to the dealers?

Cheers,

Does it happen every time you press your clutch pedal?

Yup I had the exact same problem. First diagnosed as the pedal hitting the overmats, but I had "modified mats" apparently so that wasnt the problem??!!
I then had a new master cylinder fitted................ that didnt work, then they fitted a new clutch pedal assembly and that did the trick, so yes get it to your dealer. Tyhey didnt tell me what it was but I think it was a bearing on the pedal shaft or something

Mines in tomorrow for a new pedal bush. It makes more of a creaking noise when you press it, though.

My clutch pedal made a creaking noise from brand new - it took a couple of trips to my Lexus dealership before it got sorted. Not sure exactly what it was but took some heavy duty WD40'ing !

Mines just over the 60,000 mark, I olny bought it three weeks ago from Guildford Lexus - and this problem was flagged by the RAC check - they said they'd fixed it though. I've a feeling that 'fixed' involved WD40. Guildford's a good 40mins away, so I'll perhaps see if I can get it into Reading, but I feel a bit cheeky as it's Guildfords problem.

Yeah it does happen every time - and it's a very definate click.

Mine started at about 8000 miles. I think in the end it was the bush causing the problem but by then they had replaced most of it!!
My car was sorted by Guildford, and they did a cracking job

Mine had a clicking clutch pedal when it was about three weeks old - the pedal was catching on the bulkhead carpet (not the mat). The dealer "modified" it with a stanley knife and then said "Yeah, they do that if you push the pedal all the way down" - like it was my fault!!

My pedal creaked when it was brand new,I had it adjusted and greased and it has never done it again
