I have a mate who has a 51 reg IS200 (Non sport model)

I have fitted a Sport interior and have a problem regarding the electric drivers seat. What i need is to know what the multi plug wires are so that I can connect it up.

I'm presuming they are live, switch and earth?? But which ones??

If any can help I would be most grateful!

Many thanks for looking.

Chris.

The electric seat works without ignition so there wouldn't be a switched feed, it just needs a live and earth. However the seat also contains the seat heater, seat belt pre-tensioner, seat belt warning sensor and airbag.

On the US IS300 the white wire is the feed for the seat position and the white/black is the earth.

Cheers Colin.

I've got the seat belt warning and the airbag wired up ok, but there are two multi plugs - one large with four wires going to it and a smaller one that I presume is the seat heater as there is a similar one on the passenger seat.

Really need to know which wires are for the electric operation of the seat? There are four wires (cant remember the colours off hand!)

The seat heaters we have no controls for on the dash so not worried about these! biggrin.gif

Thanks,

Chris.

there is a plug with 6 pins under the seat.
Pin 1 = at the top next to the clip and is white which is live 12v
Pin 4 in the middle row is white with a black trace. This is an earth.

Pin config looks like this :
2 1
4 3
6 5
with clip at the top

I should also say that the white feed wire is fused at 30amps, so make sure you use thick wire.

Thanks for that Duncan,

Any idea what the other, smaller plug is for??
And what the other pins on the 6 pin connector are for??

Sorry to be a pain!

Chris

PS I presume that the car in your sig is yours? V V Nice!! biggrin.gif

pin 3 = red/blue = switched 12v feed to seat heater.
pin 2 = white/black = earth for seat heater.
pin 4 = pink/green = supply wire for seat belt warning light.

this is all i could find.
diagrams only show one white plug, and the other is a yellow plug for the air bags and seat belt tensioners.

thanks for the compliment on my car by the way.... smile.gif
