strapped for cash at moment and service is overdue
car is 3 years old and only covered 17000 miles
up til now has had all recomended services to keep warranty
as this is now finished what is the minimum i can do to keep her road worthy for another year without going for the expensive 36000 service due to its low milage?

If the car is three years old it should have it's third service (30,000 miles) which is a small one so the price isn't that expensive. Only extra charge is the coolant.

Leeds charge £145 and sheffield £155, and thats not including any possible discounts

I just had my 30k service, cost £195 for the service, but total bill ended up as £504 so best to use an independent if you need to avoid any excessive bills

I was told by one dealer that Lexus have two service schemes with different work and prices and it depends in part on the annual mileage which one they carry out.

You can probably knock 25% off that if you supply the engine oil.

Mine had a 30k service earlier this year... £71.60 inc vat
I supplied the oil at a cost of £15.

Oh and they took the trouble of giving my K+N filter a bit of clean too.
Yes even with all those fiddly little bolts in the s/c airbox.

What prices have you guys been quoted/paid in the past.
As the figure I've been quoted seems a little steep.
