Does anyone else collect the Shell Optimax car cards?? Just thought that if anyone did, they could bring them to JAE and try and get a complete set. If you collect all 16, you win a Ferrari! I have loads and loads (including about 6 Lexus SC430's)
We could sell the Ferrari and all buy Superchargers!
ps, for anyone already with a supercharger, an alternative prize of Haribo sweets will be offered

I've got quite a few, I'll try and remember to bring them to JAE Andy. I guess there will be one card that is impossible to find, and its whoever gets that one that will win.

When I fill up with Optimax I never get any cards do you have to ask for them or should they be givern automatically ?

You seem to have to ask. I filled up a couple of times and they didn't mention it then last week they did (which is the first I'd heard of it so picked up a leaflet to find out more). Then yesterday filled up and had to ask. Maybe the attendant was trying to keep them for himself!

Apparently its the Ferrari 575 card thats the winner. Anyone got that? I have seen 4 figure offers going round for that card.

Don't know if this Q has been visited b4 or not so I'll tag on the end of this instead of starting a new thread - but does anyone notice any major difference in Shell's Optimax?
I have some friends in GOLF 1.8T GTI's who say they notice an increase in performance, and in some cases an increase in MPG's! I tried it for about a month in my old 200 Sport with no noticeable difference? Is it just me?
I haven't tried it in the SE i have now, mainly cause i only bought it this month and saving every penny till pay day counts!!!

Andy,
To be honest I filled up with it for the 1st time when I re-fuelled last, and I can't say I noticed any difference!
It's my first time of using it since I got the car 2.5yrs ago, so will try about 3 more tank's full. At the moment the MPG seems to be the same.

I try to use Super as much as possible - I get an extra 10% fuel economy - or could that just be that I use it for the long trips?:saint:
I've got 11 of the cards, plus another 7 - I have 2 Tuscans going spare if anyone's interested, plus the caterham, both the Skodas, but I can't remember the others.

Hi Andy,
I tried it in my LS400 as I was going on holiday and nedded to fill the tank right up.
I Think I got less mpg than I do on normal unleaded, I needed to refuel a lot sooner than I would normally have done when going the route I usually take. I was glad of the Nav unit for locating a fuel station nearby. (There are not very many on the North West Coast of Scotland). I have not used Optimax since and I don't think I will again.

Just filled up on Optimax, for the first time - FIFTY QUID!! It's 77p per litre at the nearest Shell, whereas I normally pay about 72-73p per litre (admittedly for supermarket stuff). It'd better be good!

Anyone noticed that the Shell Uk website says there are 18 cards and then lists 17 !
Assuming there is only one Ferrrari 575M I hope the person who gets it doesn't just chuck it out !!!
