i am looking to buy a used is200. we origanally considered the exmoor interior to be more suitable, however we have just arranged to view a 2 yr old royal sapphire SE with the Oakham interior, it meets all our other requirements perfectly, however I am a little worried about the cream interior.
Does it stay clean ?
is there any treatment available to protect it ? etc

I much preferred the cream interior when I got mine and it makes it lighter inside. Never had a prob keeping it clean. Mine is as good as the day I got it!

When I was first looking for my IS, I test drove a 2001 SE with oakham interior, and it really put me off seeing how dirty it was inside. The dirt was mainly on the drivers side door arm rest and the drivers seat. This car had only covered 8000 miles! I suppose a lot of it depends on how dirty you are as a person:D
Remember, black hides a lot more stains!
Fans of cream interiors please dont start bombarding me with hate mail:o

so overall the Oakham cream interior seems OK, so long as your not a smoker etc.....
Has anyone had the 'super gaurd' treatment (like a scotchgaurd but for the whole car).
if so was it worth it and how much ....??

I had the whole car treated with Super Guard, not sure of it's worth on the exterior, but the interior does seem to come up clean easily. Still have to treat the leather though.

Exmoor is definitely the safest option if you're blessed with a messy spouse, child and dog

I think it's just a matter of preference, if you look after the car as most of us do then it will stay looking good, I had the dark interior thought it looked better with the platinum Ice exterior but did like the Oakham on the gold RX that I looked at recently.

well, we travelled down to the woodford dealer, took agood look at the car and went for a test drive and decided to buy it. we both actually preffered the Oakham nterior. they also had one there with 65k on the clock & it looked fine....
We now just need to arrange a collection date which will probably be the end of next week... can't wait
