Just had a sneak preview of the latest 3 series soon to be available - - - - - urgh !

Feels cramped, got in, turned round to look at the back seats and they are a lot closer than the IS. Therefore no legroom in the back with front seats set for driving and not as they have them set in a dealers as a compromise. Front area between door and centre console also appears more cramped.

Run flat tyres that the rep stated have been specially made for the car at only £20 more than standard ones.

Alloys = more dosh
Leather = more dosh
Sunroof = more dosh
etc

It's also got one of those blade type aerials but considerably larger than I have seen before.

Example on show currently in our carpark is the 320D which to bring up to IS standards would cost £30k !!!!!!
Fidgits
yeah, pictures and reviews have been all over the place since January. Did you get to drive it?
Kremmen
Nah - They've got it in a sealed off tent.

It arrived in a sealed truck as well. Not taking any chances are they :)

im looking forward to see what they are kicking out in 5 years, at this rate its gonna be one but ugly car! Suppose they have to keep the ignorant buyers competing on a badge level!

I read in a recent book that being no.2 in America is not in BMWs vision. So they plan to facelift thier current models every 3-5 months to encourage higher sales and become no.1 above Lexus in the US.

Sounds about right, but surely its about every 6 months they facelift their cars anyway!!

Interesting book, called The Relentless Pursuit by Chester Dawson.

I know what you mean, the bodyshop where my friend works deals with bexly motorworks where they always have a flow of E30 M3's coming through. They seem as well built today as they were when they came out of the factory. Look great when they are all painted etc.
Monster-Mat
the best E30 was my old M-tec 325 (2.7) Hartge........dam that was quick!!

at the min in the body shop they have a track day prepared E30 m3, suspension feels rock solid. sounds like a beast. am down there tomorrow. might take me camera

This will be a very good car :) Very good but also very very expensive.
Anyway I like it because its not a Bangle. :P
Better than E36 and E46. Like the new GTI they are getting back to their roots.

But please don't missunderstand what I am saying:
----> Lexus: I will neverever drive anything else.

Very true, although I still love my E36. BMW and their true chracteristics have vanished, along with their quality.
