London to cornwall (around 250 miles) 5ish hours
pd_rs200z
Depends on your average speed

Mileages divided by average speed = total hours

I.e. 250/70 = 3.57 hours
Raddy
Because of the lack of motorways down west i reckon your looking at anything between 4.5 - 5.5 hours depending on what area of london you are and where in Cornwall your heading
Dave-Ellen
Takes me 3 hours to get to Dorset (from Dartford area)........i'd say more like 6

I have done Maidenhead to Croyd Bay in 2 hours 53 mins. But that was at 3 in the morning, I knew where I was going and I was no where near 70mph. If you are going in the day you have the wonders of the M5. As long as there are no road works you are OK. I would alow 4.5 - 5 hours matey
Fidgits
depends where in london to where in cornwall

I've done reading to helston, took about 4 hours

both the AA and RAC websites do free online route planning
give them a go :)
Colin P
i normally do paignton (south devon) to london in just over three hours, I reckon you could do it in just over 4.
ukazn
I did Basildon, Essex to Devon in 4 hours and stopped off twice at service stations in 4 hours. Left Essex at about 9pm on a saturday night.
Bazza
best route i say is

M25-M4-M5

forget the 303 its a nightmare road, and is full of cameras

who mentioned the M27 ??
Anees
SHAHZ,

If you don't have AutoRoute and don't want to use the AA/RAC sites then send me a PM with your email address, starting point and end destination (Postcodes will be fine) and I'll route it for you on AutoRoute and email you route it produces. :D
johnboy
I agree with Bazza,
when i went last year m25/m4/m5 easy
approx 6 hours
Essex to Newquay
Rob
i often do LHR to penzance takes about 5 hrs providing u dont get stuck behind johnny hayseed and his tractor.

go M4 -M5 - A38 or A30 depending where ur going.

after the M5 its mainly dual carrigeway, only a few speed cameras but be warned they are still a bit hidden.
