I've not done any PHP yet. A little ASP a while back. Most server side stuff I do is Java servlets. (Our main application has an applet for the front end, custom HTTP transfers with a servlet and then a load of services for data services and logic.) I've done a bit of HTML and javascript too. Well. I am in the "Shareware" business...I am writing my own software, distirbute is as shareware, and sell it via Internet (thank *** for the Internet!) (I got to that business by accident...but I'm happy with it, it's my only job right now)

Our US guys are the same with job titles - we have Vice President of Sales etc then there are Senior Vice Presidents of Stuff, Executive Vice Presidents of Stuff and Senior Executive Vice Presidents of Stuff. Next... I'm More Senior Than You Executive Vice Presidents? They all have to have their own offices too (what-ever grade) which means that no-one talks to anybody.
