when gas tank almost empty the check engine light comes on.

after i get gas the light goes off ??

make sure you turn the gas gap until you hear two or more clicks otherwise you are not tightening it up enough which the car will sense and put on the check light.

If that doesn't fix then get a new gas gap - make sure it is genuine Lexus.
