Can anyone explain the mechanical differences between a new 2005 UK rx300 and the 2005 toyota 2.4 Harrier version from Japan.

The smaller engine is attractive to me as insurance prices in ireland are so high for young men here!!

My local Lexus dealer will service a toyota model but he was unsure about availability of parts etc.

As I said in the other thread mate.

You will probably find, because the Harrier is an import, the insurance is likely to be higher than the RX300 anyway..

Like in the US you have the choice of 2WD or 4WD

I am also intending importing a brand new harrier from Japan as the 2.4 engine 2WD appeals to me. And I have bee nquoted a very good price (US$30100 = £16000 for brand new ex Factory)

Just love the Japanspeak English, but the whole package does seem an enormous bargain for the money

Sorry I'm new to this, but is that the standard spec for all 2.4l Harriers? It says 2005 in your post but it's a bit out of my price range, would the same spec apply for say a 2002/3 model?
