I don't know if this has already been posted so apologies if it has. I found after about a year that the alloys on my IS200 sport were pitting. Went to my dealer notified them of the problem. A month later got new alloys fitted FOC. Very impressed.
Hot tip if you have pitting wheels within your warranty, get them replaced.

My car is second hand and over two years old. I took it into the dealers recently and reported, amongst other things, that the alloys were corroded.

The mechanic said "No Problem! We will get another set ordered and swap them"

Unfortunately when I returned to pick it up at the end of the day the Service Manager had noticed they had been kerbed and had stopped them being swapped whilst he sought clarification from Lexus HQ as to whether they would be accepted back to reburshment. :sniff:

Waiting to hear the verdict. rolleyes.gif

You should'nt have a problem. Just changed mine on my IS300 (which had a little curbing, ooops!!) and it was'nt an issue. At the end of the day, there is a fundemental fault with the alloy's which has been "known about for the last 10 years of production" (As quoted by Ben, the sales rep at Lexus Coventry). So if they try and stick you with a bill, complain severely and they will back down.

Mine were pretty badly curbed (I had done 50K miles in just over 2 years) and I didn't have a problem getting them changed. I pointed them to one of the off-side wheels which wasn't as badly abused and still had the bad pitting problem.
