Looking for the first set of mods for engine performance enhancement.

Goal :

Totally standard looking Lexus IS200 aprt from new rims and no page.

Engine mods to hopefully produce around 300bhp wanted.

Obvious changes required in the dics and suspension, what about the possibility of 4WD ?

Please guide me ?

Welcome to the club.

To get upward of 250bhp on the IS200 be prepared to spend best part of £4000! 4wd, can't say anyones done that one?

Have you bought the car already? otherwise Altezza would get you more performance from the word go!
Mr Morse
In my opinion, suspension mods give the best value for money improvements:

Lowering springs
Anti roll bars

Then engine:

Cat back exhaust
Air filter / induction

Should be able to get it all done for around £800 (parts) plus +/-£400 (fitting/labour)

If you want 250bhp you are talking serious money....

search for posts by Dave Ellen and Prolex-UK.

Dave is currently fitting a turbo to a bored IS200, hoping for 280 bhp.

this will not be a cheap exercise.

I would ask WHY you want to do this - you can get cars with that reach that sort of power much more easily and cheaply
