Hi there i have just bought a GS300 SE on an 02 plate and i was wonder if there was anything that i should look out for, i realise as this is a bit late as i have already bought the car but i have to say i had a test drive in one and then ended up buying it there and then what a car. I do beleive that the car is standard its silver with black leather interior and sat nav so any informationwould be gratfull

Hi - welcome to the club

The GS-2 is pretty much bullet-proof. The most common (and pretty much only) problems are to do with wheel balancing causing steering wobble and warping of front discs, which causes shudder when braking.

I have 170,000 miles on my GS-2 and it's perfect.

Check for worn balljoints and warped brake rotors ... these are one of the most common problems.

One question that i do have is i have sat nav on the car and i am wondering how you go about updating the maps , or do i have to replace the dvd and what does this cost if any one could let me know i would be greatfull

yes you can just ask your dealer for the most uptodate map cd or dvd (depending on which version you have)
they are not cheap tho

I will put some pic's up of the car as soon as iget round to taking some, its just a standard GS300 SE Sat Nav i dont think that there has been anything done ot it but as soon i as i take the pic's i will post them. And you werent wrong in saying that the new sat nav disc's were expensive £268 + va isnt cheap.
