I thought it worth posting to follow the irony of outraged posters at the principal of the manufacturers of this sort of P2P application ripping people off, whilst at the same time using the software to download films, mp3s, software etc.

The irony is of course that this is exactly the sort of activity which could be easily defined by some as ripping people off.

Not trying to attack or defend P2P apps - just make the point.

I'm no angel - I use WinMX in a windows environment, and GTK Gnutella in Linux - so I'm not too bothered about this particular issue.

Yea the irony in the link is funny. :lol:

I use limewire so that I can get longer samples of tracks. When you listen to clips on a site like www.cdnow.com they're over sometimes before the start of the intro. If I find a few mp3s for an artist on limewire and I like them then I buy the album. Without p2p sharing of music I'd have bought far less CDs! :cool:
