Don't know what ferry deal your looking at for this date Norfolkline Dover - Dunkirk is going at about £99 but I'm sure if we get a crowd there are better deals out there. Might even be able to do the tunnel if we have a decent gang of us.

Don't know where you are thinking of staying over there but check these out. I always use the Logis network - family run hotels, reasonable rate and usually good food.

Depart 7:45am Dover - Calais

Return 16:00 (or 20:00) Sunday

Cost £105 based on one car and two people. its the same price for one person. (discounted rate as I get mailed their junk...)

Meet up 7:am at Dover Tourist Info ( its en route to the ferry terminal..)

Convoy onto the ticket desk and boarding queue where I can admire all your Cars!

Breakfast at Langans Brasserie on the ship. (not dear to say it's part of the great Langans group!)

Drive off the ship and convoy to Champagne region after meeting up with our continental cousins at the arrivals point.

I will sort hotels out when I know numbers better but so far I think there is at least 5 of us. Can everyone confirm to me by e mail adrian.lawrence@vantage-vbs.co.uk if they want to come. I will give you the password to book at the discounted rate.

Don't need to book tours of the cellars so we could be kicking off the scene by mid afternoon and then dining in the very pretty square in Rheims. Sunday we could do more Champers or take a scienic route back via other coastal towns.

So Come one, come all. If you have a Lexus and you want to tarnish your boot lid paint with a GB sticker. Get it on!!!

we could do it in a day and it would cut the crossing costs by around a third down to £35 ish. HOWEVER, we would have less time in the caves and little or no time for scenic tourist activities.

I guess if you have commitments you could join us for the day and then as we settle into our hotel/chateau, you could hot foot it back to the ferry and get a night crossing...

I was kinda hoping that we might have a good get-together in a hotel bar or chic eatery and tell war stories or just talk about why we all have such exquisite taste in cars.

THE 911 & PORSCHE WORLD

After the success of the first 911 & Porsche World Track Day to France in July we are staging the sequel…..Track Day Two heads back to Croix in the French Autumn with the same great value mix of loads and loads of track time, strictly limited numbers and the opportunity for a touch of Duty Free shopping (early Christmas stock-up?).

THE PLOT
Leaving Dover early on the Wednesday morning it’s a quick thrash down the autoroute until we head off through the French countryside along some quiet and sweeping gatso free back roads to the private racing circuit. Incidentally, if you are travelling from some distance we can recommend hotels in Dover for the night before – just call us at Latebrakers.








The Croix circuit (see circuit map above) hosts various rounds of French National Championships and even the occasional round of some British Series have been held at this compact and very friendly track.

A fascinating mix of curves and bends plus a short but quick straight combine to make the circuit a great place to spend a few hours let alone most of the day and we have the circuit all to ourselves so you will have heaps of track time. Run off is plentiful and the track will keep you busy working out the most effective line through the sequence of hairpins and tight bends which certainly reward good technique.

If you haven’t got your own helmet then you can borrow one at the circuit. We will have enough time at the track to cover over 150 laps if you and your car are up to it! At the track there is a café open for sandwiches, snacks, coffee and soft drinks throughout the day and the town of St Pol is a couple of miles away if you fancy taking a break from the track action and having a leisurely lunch.

The track doesn’t close for lunch to maximize your time at the circuit and we will be operating an open pit lane so again you can spend as much time on track as you could really want. When the track finally closes it’s a blast back up the motorway to the Calais docks which is just 50 minutes away and an early evening ferry back to Dover. Of course you could stock up with the ‘duty frees’ in Calais or on the boat.
