anyway got a letter back from the council basically saying
"the council has a regime in place and this regime was being adhered to at the time, for the area of road in question. therfore there has been no negligence on the part of the council, and there is no loability to pay you any compensation"""
i am going to phone citizen advice on monday see what they say
anyone suggest anythin

if the council were looking at this in their "regime" should they not have placed warnings, or some sort of manhole cover over the offending pot hole?!

Take advise first.
My m8 has sued several councils on this matter (successfuly) you need to find out through the councils complaints depot (highways) if anyone has put a request for repairs to be done on this stretch of rd,if they have and it wasn't marked off normally by paint markings i think they have so many hours/days in which to carry out said repairs.
Dont give up its a std letter they send out to put you off claiming.
