...since fitting the Aero grille and other bits and badges (with TRD logo) I've had a few complimentary comments about the car whilst filling up, but had the second "is it a diesel"

No TRD doesn't stand for turbo diesel - and with my Typhoon it sure doesn't sound like one!

:lol: i always thought TDI was a strange name for what they do cos you immediately think diesel. even knowing what it stands for i always think golf tdi!

thats why i've never fancied a trd badge on mine, you know how thick some people are!

Same here mate (about the TDI comment)

Theres a Yellow 'TRD' Celica that goes to my local Toyota garage, he orders parts long before the staff know about it, and they it the 'T*RD'

i'm not being blonde... but when i first came to this site, and i saw TDI i also assumed that everyone was referring to some sort of Diesel mod. Now that i have grown wiser... i know the truth... lol

As a side qusetion, all Diesels are injected, thats how the smelly things work. So why put an I on the end anyway :duh:
