I know few of you have debadged your motors. What's the process ? Can you do it yourself ?

You can rip the central (L) from the back - it's just stuck with a sticky pad that goes all round. I've not done it myself - some paserby helped me with it - unfortunately I wasn't looking for help, in fact I didn't even want it removing. :flaming: I rubbed the remains of the sticky pad off the car with my fingers - and got sore fingers - so don't do that. Fitted a new one as soon as I could :bounce:

The method that most people use to remove badges is to use a hair drier to apply heat onto the badge which then turns the adhesive soft allowing you to lift the badge away. You should then be able to remove left over adhesive, give the area a polish and job done. I'm sure others that have done this will give you their words of wisdom soon enough.

I want to keep the L in the middle but remove the is200 and maybe the lexus from left and right.

I used to live in Colnbrook (near Heathrow), there they left the badges but took the rear windscreen instead :flaming::flaming::flaming:

my blue Lex is de-badged. taken the rear lexus and IS200 SE badges off and put the gold L' emblems front and back.... gives it that gangsta unknown presence

looks much better in my opinion.

yeah johnny boys method is right, they just heat the badges up and that makes the glue soft and then put some tape around a knife or something so you dnt scratch it and scrape it off but be carefull not to scratch your baby!!!!

Lexus done did mine before they delivered it

of course the best way to get them done is to kindly ask your friendly Lexus dealer to remove them at your next serivce. Something along the lines of, " Er I was wondering how you get the badges off without damageing the car or invalidating the warranty or anything. Could your guys show me how to get them off perhaps?" "I don't want to be any trouble". remember now how the brand wish to maintain this pretence of a "Lexus Experience" well taking the badges off free gratis is a great way to show willing. given that they charge £225 for changing the oil!
