Full Version: Altezza In Japan - Rs200 Saloon Or As300 Wagon?
Lexus Owners Club > Lexus Models > Lexus Imports
Chiba
Hi. I'm about to buy a second hand Altezza here in Japan and could use some advice. Originally I was going to go for an RS200 saloon, then started to like the AS300 Gita wagon, as I have a family. We'll be moving back to the UK at some point, so which would be the better option for over there, re getting it serviced, insured, etc. Either OK? unsure.gif I'll no doubt have more questions later, once I find one I like. Cheers!

Not sure anyone has imported an AS300 before, and I'm afraid I don't know what the rules are on on personal imports, but last time I the SVA rules mean that you can only import the RS200 tiptronic - please make sure you find out before you're lumbered with a car you can't drive...

I would check out the implications of the model report thing as Alex (above) has mentioned.

I think as you are a resident in Japan and you will brining in a personal import you may not need a model report but I would check it out.

if its your property when in japan than i dont believe you are subject to the sva - there was someone on here that did the same.
