Hello all, Yesterday i thought as it was a nice day, i would jack the car up remove the wheels and paint the calipers, as they looked a bit shoddy.and made the wheels look bad. :hehe:
But when i tried to undo the locking wheel nut on the front the special tool just would not let me put any pressure on the wheel brace it just slipped off.
Two weeks ago i had two new front tyres fitted and i guess they have used a air gun to undo and tighted the locking wheel nuts WHY DO THEY DO IT!!!!!!!!!!
I will be going back to the tyre centre to ask them to undo them but i bet they would not replace them.
Lucky i was not trying to change the tyre at the side of the road or i would be still there now
any one any idea how much they will cost me and can i just buy them single or do i have to purchase the little black box kit

Thanks Matt

Have a look inside the locking nut.....some of the pins may have been pushed in a little which means it will be slipping pull them out a little with a pair of pliers...also locking nuts dont like the normal wheel brace so invest in a torque wrench and that way you know that you have tightened them properly too ;)

ok what are the torque settings for the wheel bolts
and it does state in the box of the locking nuts (DO NOT USE TORQUE WRENCH)
to tighten them

Also just like to say a big thanks to Sanman for selling me a set of genuine Locking nuts that are in tip top condition :D

Thankyou
Matt :driving:
