Is there an obvious clue to whether I have HID headlights on my import?
The light is slightly blue in colour, and takes a few seconds to come up to full intensity. There is also a faint buzzing noise as it does this.
If they are HID lights, will they have to come off for the ESVA?
Cheers

They sound exactly like HID's mate, halogen lights are at full intensity immediately.
Guess if they have to come off depends on what the model report says.
I'd say I'm 99% sure they're HID's - you can make sure by looking at the connections to the bulbs - standard bulbs just connect directly to the loom, HID's have a ballast in between the car loom and hte bulb itself!! The ballast is usually a little rectangular box about the size of a cigarette packet!
