I have recently purchased IS & have just had to have windscreen replaced. Now annoyingly tax disc holder keeps falling off & I was about to rip it off & replace when I noticed the wire!!!

What is it??

It's probably an old car kit .............. and the wire runs up to the tax disc holder as an external aerial.
