Thought maybe we could have a monthly "Spot Light" section for the garage ..........

We could poll it once a month ..... or something ... and get that car "featured" both on the Garage section ............ and the main page (of loc)

From memory 'people' were moaning that is was always IS's and all that usual crap (even though they proably didnt have a garage set up)

Think the old view was to have a different type of car each month, announce what sort it would be, and then people would have a poll to see which members car from that group they would like to nominate

The poll is an idea ........ we can have a dedicated person .... oops, looks like I have just volunteerd ! lol

Are you going to just let anyone put their names forward or actually go for a certain group each month, maybe IS one month as it's the largest by far and then you could either have a separate month for the other types, or have an IS one month followed by a group the next, say RX / GS / LS, then have another group for the imports?

That way you have three categories to keep things going

So say:

IS
RX / GS / LS
Imports

That would roll every fourth month then, or maybe a shorter interval?

1: IS200
2: GS MKIII
3: IS300
4: GS MkI
5: Altezza
6: LS
7: IS MkII
8: GS MkII
9: SC
10:IMPORT ONLY (e.g soarer, es, lx, gx etc)
11:RX MkI
12:RX MkII

I vote on Aido's idea, that way everyone is happy.

I say:

1) IS
2) All other models

The IS outnumbers the other models significantly. Why not change every 2 weeks rather than monthly?

i say make it a free for all so the decision is purely down to peoples voting rather than being forced to look at a standard LS/GS or whatever for a month or however long it is decided, nothing against standard cars or anything obviously but could get a little boring maybe? Likewise if the many IS members of the site get bored of looking at IS's then they can vote for an alternative model

Also, maybe once someone has been featured they then cannot be feautured for the following three polls (or more?)

Car of the month is done on a few other forums and it seems to work well.
Dunno who or how they decide each month though

personally, id like to keep stock cars out of the equation, after all that would get boring.

In this chat room mate, it was chat night tonight, have to use safe mode though as my Mac doesn't work with he normal thing so it refreshes every second - only me and John left no!

ahhh.... so u had your garage open in a browser and it refreshed in the background without you knowing...

Just looking through this post and I think it is a good idea.
But if you notice not ONE GS LS or RX owner has posted! Same as the meets I have been to 2 and the only RX there.
I still say go for the garage feature but just do the iS models 'cos there is much more interest. I personally like looking at the different iS cars and the mods that have been carried out to them. So go for it. If it is a poll I will still vote.
