I wonder how many people here could pin this verse on the wall without regret

We the willing
Led by the unknowing
Are doing the impossible
For the ungreatfull

Over the years
We have learnt to do so much, for so long with so little
We are now qualified
To do anything with nothing.................
Does this read like something you would like to 'tattoo' on the bosses forhead!

Yes say....I
No say....im the 'boss' :D

In your line of work i can 'fully understand'... Fact is Mat i'm in 'full moan mode'
Tuesday i got a letter from STS saying 'trade is very poor so the will be job losses'
Wednesday the MD came to Watford.... shook my hand and praised Sunday, well done this and exellent that, lets do it again.. ! :duh: so i've gone from a 'life's high' to lossing my job, to congrates by the boss.. FKN make your mind up me-thinks, like you i can dig a hole but a least tell me which FKN direction.

Tony at least you got the hand shake and pat on the back After the letter :winky:

That verse sounds familiar :hehe:

Somehow I think you'd be the last to go so don't worry.

Still not nice all the same. It's a worry.

My attitude in life is a belief of 'destiny'...... Tomorrow will happen but the events within Saturday i haven't experienced yet, any action i take will not remove the fact.... tomorrow will happen, whatever path i take i feel cannot be deviated from.
Taken from the book of 'Dr Bones'

Hows this for 'destiny'... the PR sent me the pics from Sundays meet on cd, but not STS :D so yesterday i printed 20 pics to take to work, today my AM travelled 30 miles to pick up the pics so that HQ can see the event, the passion he showed from the pictures was :hehe: :D :whistling: , then we got talking about sponsoring Mats 'Driffty' and our 'topic' :winky: 'all is keen and progressive  ', whatever evolves is out of my hands.

My point is this ( at last they say ) If i lose my job i know there is nothing i could have done to stop it...... that would be my 'destiny'

Still worried though :crybaby:

Sorry to hear of your predicament Tony.
Glad to hear last Saturday was a success you deserve the credit.
Have you posted any pics anywhere yet?
I will be up to see you next Thursday morning at 10.00 for my geometry work appointment.
Any chance of fitting the loose tyres to my rear wheels we spoke about or should I get them fitted on the wheels before I come up? To be honest I would rather pay you or guys at STS to fit then I can guarantee a good job without buggering up my newly refurbed wheels!!

Cheers
Keith

It doesn't apply to my direct manager, who is great, but once you go up in to the corporate management then it applies.

I'd gladly show it to my boss, because he'd agree with me.

Get your self a HNC in electronics and I could get you on as a technician.
Bit far for you to commute though.
It's a Korean company, so the wages leave a lot to be desired.

I don't think you need to worry about a job, your company won't be able to ignore what an asset you are to them.

My boss had to make a mission statement for our department - he came up with the following:
Mission statement
"Proactive and dynamic intervention to minimise cost while maintaining safety and quality to fulfil our customers needs. "

Not happy that it did our department justice, I made up a new one - I can't understand why he didn't use it.....

"To Introduce, Maintain and Improve Products, Processes and Efficiencies with vigour and ability far beyond that which our salaries would suggest we are capable of."
