I have the standard 5 spoke alloy wheels supplied with the IS200SE, they were changed last year because of corrosion due to lacquer wearing off - problem solved. Earlier this year, on one spoke, I had a curb scratch and part of the protective plastic on the alloy started to peel off in that area, it now looks like bare unpolished metal and is a little darker than the surroundings?
But 2day I noticed a small stone chip near the centre of one alloy, this has caused one entire spoke length to look watery/discoloured underneath. I'm sure a little paint job can be done to cover it up. Need some advice about paint, maybe refurbing in the Northwest area, any other economical possibilities?
Thanks
