yep - today i became a home owner...

and apart from the dissapointment of the house not being as i remembered it, a little more older and shoddier, oh and the stress of having to move tomorrow, not to mention move all my utilities etc...

but anyway, yay :yawn: im a home owner... lets hope i feel more excited once im in!

Congratulations. About 3 years too late, I reckon (the house in the background of my avatar, 3 bedroom detached, bought for £75,000 3 years ago).

Still, you're on the ladder now!

Good luck with the move - I'll be joining the home owners club 2 weeks on thursday.

B&Q will be such a familiar place for us - it'll feel strange when you eventually don't go there on a saturday.

oh and guys, before i start anything like fishtanks etc, i need a new kitchen - actually, im considering an extension for a BIG kitchen...

anyone know any builders/plumbers/electricans around my area, please let me know...

and now Broadband is off, so i will be back with you guys sometime soon!

You will! I went through the same process earlier in the summer and couldn't help but feel a little disappointed at first. Little things annoy me, and there are always little things that aren't spot-on. But after a while, once you're in and the stresses of moving have abated, it'll feel like home and you'll be a happy man!

Nice one mate :D i completed myself 5 weeks ago tomorrow....almost ready to move in totally gutted the place, just the finishing touches left to go, should be in next week.....been off work for almost 4 weeks and im shattered :sick:

well, had so much hassle trying to get online, but here I am, at 56k for the minute....

the move itself was very smooth - anyone moving and would like a small, but effecient and well priced firm drop me a PM and i will give you the contact details...

the process of moving in was very stressful, but im getting sorted slowly...

oh, and i have a bigger garage now :D

cant say i have done this myself, but i know few people over in british gas, so will ask if its something they wunna price up.... :ph34r:

:offtopic: Nice stair conversion there, you do realise that when they come to change your electric meter you'll have to take the false wall down :winky:
The amount of times we go into properties and end up having to take kitchens and cupboards apart to get to the meters.
Really liking the fish tank in the wall tho, nice job.
