I've seen a Lex at a Toyota Dealership. It has FLSH and they offer things like one years warranty, RAC breakdown, etc. So I was wondering, is their service upto par like Lexus? I know they are the same group and all. Just seems their cars are a couple of grand cheaper than Lexus. Also, anyone know if they are easy to beat the price down on? They have an 8k Lex I would be interested in if it was 6.8k.

Dont worry about the service bit,all the Lexus models down in Bristol are bought new from the Lexus showroom and serviced in the Toyota dealers next door.
You shouldnt have any worries with regards to servicing.

Toyota dealerships vary just as Lexus do. My local Toyota garage in Blackpool is as good as I've come across. No harm in offering £7k as a firm "I'll sign today" offer. I've done it and got varying responses. Very good buyers market at the moment.

sales folk usually work on monthly targets - go in and offer 7k on the 25th of this month and they are more likely to accept....

Are you sure? I understand that they will not want to do work in the first three years but I know of one Toyota dealer who will certainly service a Lexus.

North Road Garage in Builth Wells will quite happily service a Lexus, within first three years or otherwise.

A friend of mine is a qualified Toyota Technician - he is not allowed to work on a Lexus - he must go on a course to become a Lexus Technician
Maybe it is just franchise specific

Lexus/Toyota GB do not want Toyota technicians/dealers working on their cars and therefore won't supply them parts/diagnostic tools etc.

Some Lexus parts are the same as Toyota parts, oil filter for example so they can be bought from Toyota. I think I am right in thinking that Toyota can order Lexus parts if they have the part numbers.
