HI all, just to let u know that if any of you are interested in a 9L ( approx 2 gallons) metal fuel can designed to fit inside the spare wheel (designed for 17" and larger - but think it will fit inside a 16"), let me know and i can order them from my local dealer - i have to find out about postage as i am in Switzerland but i suppose the cost will be around €80/90 expensive i know but hell of a lot better than a plastic can slopping around in the boot.

You get another wingnut bolt to tie the fuel can and wheel down, but i had a look at the original wheel bolt and u could swap the wingnut for the nice original plastic bolt head. check these for the pics

Very neat - although, not neat enough to make me spend £50 plus postage I'm afraid.
Good idea though.

yes i know its very expensive - last year it was only €45! for some reason the prices have gone thru the roof!
